Like starting war, Like spilling ink. Like the empty street You swore you saw Before you blinked. There's no second thought, There's no turning back. There's no calling off This avalanche. Every day, now spent Underneath white flags. Every intention, eclipsed By every stain of the past. -- there's no argument * The world was quiet, it was as though all had faded out into their own world. Cars wern't roaring, and the world seemed ... calm? It was lovely. Birds sang their soft lullaby as the wind danced through. It seemed all was right in the world at least for now. It was labor day weekend so there was no school for either high school or collage kids. They had Monday off and went back Tuesday. Which meant Natsuki had a day all to herself just to draw and relax. However today, Natsuki left her art pad at home and just went for a calming walk in the garden where cherry blossoms bloomed. This is one of Natsukis favorite spots to relax. Being she was a shy girl she liked to be alone or at least in a place she didn't feel threatened and this was one of the few places she felt safe. Sighing, Natsuki looked down and begin walking a slow pace walk. She took deep breathes to take in all the amazing scents, as a soft breeze blew her way. Everything seemed right in the world. Off in the distance she heard a bird sing a soft lullaby which made her smile a gentle smile. It was relaxing. That was until she heard another humans foot-steps. Letting out a cry, the small female jumped behind a bush and crouched down with wide eyes. She quivered in fear and let out a whimper when the foot-steps got closer. It was a beautiful day for a quiet walk around the park. Hiroki didn’t have any plans for labor day weekend. He of course could have called anyone on his contact list and hung out with them, but for some reason he felt like being alone right now. He however didn’t want to be home. He hated to be home. He sighed as he shook his head, pushing the thoughts from his mind. He didn’t want to think about it. He promised he would stop being negative. He wanted to be a positive person in a person’s life. If he could do that, than that was good enough for him. Seeing someone else happy, made it feel like everything was worthwhile. Hiroki paused when he passed by the garden. He shifted his weight for a second before he entered the garden. It wasn’t a place he went to a lot. He was the kind of person that liked to be around people. However, for some reason he felt like he needed to be here.
It didn’t seem like there was anyone in the garden as he walked through. However suddenly he heard a noise. He paused as he looked around. Soon a small black kitten jumped from one of the bushes. Hiroki smiled as he went over to it and knelt down and began to pet it. “Hello little guy, are you lost? Where is your mother?” he asked the poor creature. The kitten was nervous at first, but soon rubbed happily against his hand, purring loudly. Hiroki let out a laugh. “Poor little guy. Did you get lost?” He looked around, wondering if he belonged to anyone, but he didn’t see anyone. He could have sworn he heard another person…but perhaps it was the kitten the whole time? He shrugged his shoulders. Hiroki loved animals and always wanted one, but he wasn’t allowed to have any in their apartment. It probably would brighten up the place a lot more if he could.
The kitten soon slipped from his hand and made way over to another bush across from where Hiroki was and began to meow loudly. “What is it boy?” He asked it (despite not knowing if it was a boy or a girl). “Is there something over there?” He asked as he stood up and began to make his way over to the bush.
“Hello?” He called out.

Every day, now spent Underneath white flags. Every intention, eclipsed By every stain of the past. -- there's no argument * Tensing up when she heard a males voice. The young female gripped the grassy ground and looked down. She cursed silently under her breathe. Do only males live in this fricken town?! she thought silently to herself as she watched him through some holes in the bush. She saw a cat and watched it with a smile. She loved animals, well normally she did. She found the kit adorable until it made its way over to her hiding spot an then started mewling as loud as it could. Startling Natsuki she stumbled back and landed on her butt with a oof as her hazel eyes got wide. Scrambling back as fast as she could, the young female looked around widely for a place to hide but found no where so continued to back away as fast as she could. She let out a scared cry as she hit the tree that was now in her way. Quickly making her way to her feet she ran behind the tree and looked carefully around it to see if the male noticed her. Why does this always happen to me?! Why me?! Why now?! Why! she thought silently as she flew back behind the tree fully. Taking a shaky breath, the female put her back to the tree and slowly slid down hugging her knees. That's when she realized she didn't have her backpack. Rapidly feeling around for it, her eyes got even bigger and she looked around the tree again to realize she left it behind the bush. Crap! she thought and shook her head pulling her knees to her chest hugging her legs as she thought to herself. Don't come over here .. don't notice me

Hiroki paused when he thought he heard something behind the bush. He walked slowly though. No one had answered his reply. Was it perhaps just a squirrel that had caught the kitten’s attention? Or was he just going crazy? He shook his head as he knelt down by the kitten once again. It began to meow as he rubbed up against his legs and turned toward the bush once more and jumped through. Hiroki tried to catch him, but he slipped right through his fingers. He sighed, for a second he was about to go and turn back, realizing there was no point in being here in the first place. He got out his phone; he might as well as text someone and see if they wanted to do something. He really didn’t feel like being alone anymore. It was then when something through the bushes caught his eye. He slowly reached forward and pulled the branches away. It was then when he noticed the kitten sitting on top of what appeared to be a backpack meowing happily as if he just won a prize.
“What’s this?” He said as he picked up the backpack and looked around. So someone else was here? Or has this backpack been here for a while? He couldn’t find a name or nothing. “Hello?” He called again, hoping someone would answer him back, “I found a backpack…” his voice trailed off as he sighed. He supposed no one was going to answer him. Were they hiding or something? He wasn’t sure. He wasn’t paying attention, but the kitten had made its way over by a tree and was meowing at it. Hiroki turned his head and noticed him and walked over to the kitten, kneeling down and began to pet it, not noticing the girl that was right there.
“What are you doing?” He said as he turned to his left, now looking directly at where the girl was at. He stared at her what seemed like forever before he yelped and leapt back, feeling like his heart just exploded from his chest. He took deep breaths as he let out a laugh. “Whoa! You scared me!” He said as he got back up, still trying to catch his breath. “It’s not fun to scare people like that,” he told her with a shake of his head, even though he did laugh, but it was just at the whole situation really. He turned and looked at the backpack that was sitting next to him, he picked it up and held it out to her.
“Is this yours?” He asked gently with a smile.
