Like starting war, Like spilling ink. Like the empty street You swore you saw Before you blinked. There's no second thought, There's no turning back. There's no calling off This avalanche. Every day, now spent Underneath white flags. Every intention, eclipsed By every stain of the past. -- there's no argument * Everywhere you go there's a mystery that either can solved or can bug you forever or there is even some that are just beautiful mysteries. Here in the little town where humans lived, or some that were half human half something else, there were a lot of mysteries. But the one mystery that was just plain beautiful was the spirits. The spirits had their own little forest of which they live and roam upon. Among the spirits, humans and half-humans walk with them just for guidance or the experience the beauty. It was not clear yet of how the spirits arrived or why they were in this town particularly. But they were a gift either way.
On this night Natsuki had taken a walk into the spirit forest. She had no luck of running into any of the spirit animals, however she did find this little cave which held glowing ice blue water. It was a big pool that had a stream at the top dropping down in a waterfall. It was a beautiful thing. It sparkled and made a relaxing sound. It was almost like a lucid dream, behind her was the night sky that was dotted with the beautiful stars. It was calming, it was relaxing, it was a real life dream. Natsuki was wide awake and yet she was living in a dream at the very moment.
Natsuki saw this as a moment to draw and capture the beauty, it described her personality. It was calm, it was gentle, it was relaxing, it was her. So sitting down her back, she grabbed a blank canvas and sat down her back to the gray wall of the cave. A small smile spread across her lips as she grabbed her water colors and started to sketch. Already lost in the drawing, the female often didn't pay attention to anything but what she was drawing. So when a spirit wolf made its way in silently to drink from the stream she didn't realize it was really there. But she drew it in with her picture.
However Natsuki didn't realize she wasn't alone. In the cave was another artist. But Natsuki was to lost in thought to realize, plus he wasn't in her shot so she wasn't drawing him.

Natsuki SuzukiChase had made his way to the Spirit Woods that bight with his sketchbook on hand. Sitting in the cave he liked to go to often he quickly got to work in regards to seeing what was around. Really there wasn't much there at the moment, which was such a bummer. Chase waited patiently on a dry mossy rock though, taking no notice of the girl that happened to arrive. Though when a spirit wolf did he was absolutely delighted. Even as a spirit animal it had a species assigned as all creatures did. He pulled out his sketchbook and got to work, whispering the details to himself. The soft, soothing words bounced off the walls, but didn't disturb the wolf. "Grey wolf, Canis lupus, with thick white fur..." He stated, getting it down as the canine drank from the glistening pool of water. He was so lost in his thought that he probably was oblivious to all things now. "Seemingly ninety-five pounds approximately..." He said. He had a keen eye which often could decipher near exact measurements of an animal upon sight. It was like a talent of his. Plus it was easier as he was a Henkō, so had a deep connection with the natural world. Maybe he could go greet the wolf?

Every day, now spent Underneath white flags. Every intention, eclipsed By every stain of the past. -- there's no argument * Being the night was quiet other than the occasional owl hoot and wolf howl, Natsuki was keen to the other strange sounds. So when Chase started to say things about the spirit animal that had wandered in it startled her. Her hazel eyes grew wide and she looked up from her drawing, her head turned toward him and she brushed a lock of her brown hair behind her ear. Seeing the male she let out a silent whimper.
But when she realized he was also drawing and talking about the wolf. She listened to him silently and took a moment to finish the details that she had missed. It was little details but it made her picture that much better. Blinking her eyes, she silently stood up and walked toward the male silently trying not to disturb the wolf in the process to ruin the picture of which the male was drawing. She blinked and looked down at his drawing.
"You missed his nose.. its a bit more pointed then a regular wolfs muzzle.. and he's missing his claws on his front left paw.." whispered the young female as she gripped her arm out of being pure nervous of this stranger.

Natsuki SuzukiChase jumped slightly as he heard a voice, looking up to see a girl approach. He shuddered slightly, his body tensing up. He wasn't so much of a social guy, and never was. When she mentioned he didn't get a couple details he looked to the wolf. True enough, and so erased and edited what was needed. Then he wrote down "shown here is an individual of the species." in small cursive writing under the name and scientific name. He usually went with more general looks, but hey, may as well do individuals. He eventually had it down, but being so nervous as he tried to put it away his pencil fell and went rolling towards the wolf. Oh crap. Chase needed that! So he slowly stood and on his hands and knees crept over towards the wolf. Each time he lowered himself down as if he was one.
He was so close to his pencil. He didn't make eye contact and whined slightly to show he wasn't a threat. Luckily there was no move made. It was likely that the wolf could sense he was a Henkō. He reached out and took his pencil.back, creeping away. As he reached where he had been sitting he sighed in relief. Then he looked to the girl, slightly embarrassed by his little display. He looked away uncomfortably, unsure of what to do or say.

Then he whimpered, that made her back up just a tad. The hell is this?! she thought hten shook her head as she watched him make his way back. Natsuki was confused. Very confused.
She looked down at his drawing and smile approvingly at it, then realize she was being looked at which made her look down at the floor and blush. She rubbed her arm and then blinked once, then twice. She opened her mouth to say something, but nothing squeaked out. She noticed he was looking away uncomfortably and so shrinking down, she made her way back over toward her stuff to pack up.
She hated being trapped in situations like this.

Natsuki SuzukiChase hesitated a while, unsure of what to do. He had just made himself look like a fool recently in front of a girl with no explaining himself. Should he explain himself? He debated on what to do, but overall he just wasn't so sure in terms of that. He wanted to, but speaking was just not his thing. He realized that perhaps he wouldn't really need to speak though. Mustering up all the courage he had left he spoke up. "Uhm... Wait..." He said softly, but loud enough to be heard. Then he did it.
In a swirling light Chase changed form. In his place soon stood a dark russet wolf with a lighter belly. He looked to the other one, but otherwise stared at the girl. Well, he now had his reasons for acting weird. He stoof rigidly, waiting for whatever her response would be. He wasn't sure if it would be good or bad, but he knew it was risky nonetheless to do it. Still, he no longer could turn back as he had just revealed his secret.

A confused look shone in her eyes as she gave a gentle smile. W-Wh-
Instantly within a flash the male was something else. A dark russet wolf. Natsukis eyes got wide and she stumbled back. "A-AH! Yo-your n-no-not human?!" she questioned in a jumble of words, her body shook with fear and she lost control of her legs causing her to fall on her butt in which instant she let out a soft whimper of pain but quickly hugged her knees to her chest.
What is this?!

Natsuki SuzukiChase stood still and folded back his ears as she seemed rather shocked. He lowered his head and whined as he looked off to the side. Though when he could hear her whimpering he slowly moved forward, crawling low on his belly to look as least intimidating as possible. He eventually was lying with his head on his paws right in front of her. His eyes looking up, hopefully. He didn't want to scare her or anything, it was just he didn't want her thinking he was a weirdo. He eventually drew himself back and sat. Again the light came and he changed his form. Well, best to explain things and get it all settled. Because it was likely that if he didn't then things could go horribly wrong in general. He wanted this to not get out in public, or he would pay dearly if anything.
"Sorry..." He said on a hushed voice. "I am a Henkō..." He told her, looking over and thinking of what he should do. His eyes showed how calm he was, but also how scared he felt. Chase wasn't sure if he would end up regretting this choice or not, but this was the one way to find out. Yet he no longer spoke, unsure of what he could say that would make this any better. By then the wolf had left it seemed. Well, this was interesting...
